The answer to the burning immigration problem

For years, some of you have tried to convince me that our porous border with Mexico is a critical, nation-threatening problem, necessitating such absurdly grandiose measures as the construction of a wall.

I was unconvinced — until now. This important video report provides the arguments that were missing before.

(Warning: There is some less-than-polite language used in this report, for comic effect.)

Is that just too tacky? Should I take it down? I will if enough of y’all think I should.

My brother sent me that link (“Mom, HE started it!”), and I just thought it was funny, too…

I refuse to look at it.

The way many people like Brad use nervous humor to avoid discussing a serious issue like the criminal invasion of our country by 30,000,000 illegal aliens, is something I find quite offensive.

  3. Burl Burlingame

Humor about topical subjects requires a certain amount of thought and dissection of the subject, to get at the essential kernel of why the subject matters.

Using humor is not something I find “quite offensive.”

Burl, well put. The clip should have included Senator Sessions from Alabama telling Sotomayor that she should have voted with the other Hispanic judge on an issue.

Brad, you posted a “Hail Mary Rosh” thread. This one hardly stoops to that level. In fact, any clip that offends Lee is meritorious.

Do you have any hilarious video clips about other criminal activity you celebrate?

I’m sure Randy would enjoy a good send up of drunk drivers killing people. That’s always good for some hearty belly laughs.

    I know, I know.. I’m a racist.

The video did not glorify or excuse illegal Mexican immigration. It was from a Mexican point of view on the obnoxious behavior of Americans on spring break. Probably much the same view that natives of Daytona Beach have. Believe or not, not every person in Mexico is an uneducated migrant worker whose only goal is to get to the US to piss off the modern day members of the Know Nothing party.

    Jerry,
I probably know more educated Mexicans than you will ever meet.

They live and work in Mexico, and I have done business with them.

The fact that they exist does not negate nor excuse the 30,000,000 criminal invaders in the USA, most of whom are low-skilled illiterates. Many are prostitutes, pimps and drug dealers. 850,000 are in US prisons at any given moment. 810,000 are fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants. They consume $42 billion in welfare and other government services paid for by US taxpayers.

lee, I think the topic of debate is actually whether or not we even need to “criminalize” this invasion. How bad is it that we have Mexicans picking our crops and doing other work that Americans won’t do for the wages Mexicans will….it’s a free market thing that I would have thought you’d support.

I’m all in favor of enforcing all laws on the books, including those against adultery (ahem). If we do not think they are good laws, we should remove them. The speed limit should be the speed limit. Period. No “ten miles an hour over” grace amount. No “we don’t enforce the adultery law or we’d have no politicians left.”

Prostitution, drug dealing, robbery, rape, and murder are already crimes. Those are why 1,700,000 illegal Latino illegal aliens are in jail or on the run from arrest warrants.

Crossing the border is a crime.

No nation can permit immigrants to self-select themselves as citizens, especially the USA, which is bordered by the very backward nation of Mexico, which is a conduit for even more uneducated, unskilled, and uncivilized people.

If we are going to allow immigration, then why not select the best the world has to offer, instead of just being the garbage dump for socialist dictatorships?

To those that take themselves too seriouslously, I have this suggestion:

    Get a life!
