Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn…

This was brought to my attention by social media this morning, and I pass it on for your enjoyment. Sorry, I was unable to find a larger, higher-res image, even though there’s probably one out there. But of course this is entirely readable, and that’s the point.

As you peruse it, you should listen to the song…

I love this song, but I have never really gotten the video.

The parody cover reminds me of a Rolling Stone parody magazine I had back in the 80s. The title was (Just like a) Rolling Stone. The cover featured Dylan scratching his head as he read the answer side of a Trivial Pursuit card. The questions on the card were mostly lines from Blowin’ in the Wind, except the last one which was “How does it feel?” It was an Onion-quality parody throughout if my memory is good.

I also enjoy REM’s “This Is the End of the World as We Know It”.

I was at the Lake Murray Dam from 7 AM to 7:45 AM today to photograph the first sunrise of winter over Columbia. It was extremely windy this morning and I was the only fool on the dam this morning; fortunately, the wind was at my back. I got the idea of doing an Equinox/Solstice Sunrise photo project after I had photographed the first sunrise of 2012 from the dam.
