Announcing Caskey & Imgrund, LLC

Everyone wish Bryan joy upon the announcement of his new enterprise:

Caskey & Imgrund

C&I 2

Bryan, I want to congratulate you on your new business and I’m sure you’ll do very well and good luck to you. Especially since your interests don’t conflict with mine. Thank you.

Oh, and next time (and please tell all your lawyer friends this), please send a Word file instead of a PDF, so I can copy and paste the info rather than having to post a picture of it…

    Congratulations!

Reminds me of the joke about the town that had one lawyer who was living in poverty until they got a second lawyer and both got rich.

Congratulations Bryan! Question? Now that you have your own firm, if I refer something under discussion on the blog, will you bill me for providing an answer? Oh, did I just ring up some billable time?

Honestly, if I ever do need legal counsel, I will come to you.

And answering questions does not create a lawyer-client relationship. (You’re welcome, Bryan!)

Thanks so much for graciously announcing the opening. It’s been a lot of work and planning to get to today. It was a lot of setting up dominoes very methodically over a long period of time, and today we knocked them over and everything fell into place.

I’ve been very blessed to have lots of support and encouragement to do this. My new law partner is a great guy, and between the two of us, we can handle just about any legal issue that someone might have.

It’s been a long, stressful (but wonderful) day, so to all the commentariat: A glass of wine with you!

Live long and prosper, Bryan. Good, decent lawyers (like you) have been a healthful antidote for society’s woes. Among a lesser variety, unfortunately, some have been standouts among the world’s most destructive parasites.

Last time I had to sue a S.C. lawyer it took 8 years to find another lawyer willing to sue the miscreant.
The judge in that case, which we won).now sits on the Federal bench. See, I am a huge fan of specific lawyers.

About that photo: You do realize, don’t you, that were you one of Jack Aubrey’s midshipman, he’d send you to the masthead to think about your habit of standing about on his quarterdeck with your hands in your pockets?

Next, you’ll be leaning on the rail. Or spitting tobacco, like those Americans…

Ha. The photographer specifically said to do that. I wasn’t standing with my hands in my pockets like that until the photographerror told us to do it.

When I was a baby lawyer, I put my hand in my pocket one time during a motion hearing while speaking. The judge (an old Charleston judge) interrupted me and said “Mr. Caskey! Take your hands out of your pockets. Continue…”

Never have done it again in court. He must have been an old Man-o-War man.

Yay, Bryan! When is your opening reception? Will there be quality libations?
I don’t know about this Imgrund dude, but Bryan is a lawyer’s lawyer. I recommend him!

    1. Bryan Caskey

Thanks. This week is heavy on the administration stuff, as you would expect. Reception will happen, but planning it is way down on the to-do list.

Just getting the infrastructure setup right is key.
